Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate waiter/waitress to join our team at a restaurant. In this position, you will be responsible for providing our customers with a quality dining experience by delivering excellent and prompt service. Responsibilities:
- Greeting guests warmly and providing a welcoming atmosphere.
- Presenting the menu and offering recommendations and information about dishes and beverages.
- Taking customer orders and accurately recording them in the order system.
- Ensuring that orders are prepared and served promptly and accurately.
- Providing attentive and professional service throughout the guests' stay at the restaurant.
- Promptly addressing customer requests and needs, addressing any issues or complaints in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly work area, including setting up tables and arranging cutlery, tableware, and other necessary accessories.
- Coordinating with the kitchen to ensure efficient order flow and to accommodate customers' preferences and dietary restrictions.
- Properly handling and recording customer payments, including processing card transactions.
- Adhering to all hygiene, safety, and cleanliness rules and policies in accordance with the restaurant's standards.
- Participating in training sessions and professional development programs offered by the restaurant.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry or similar positions is a plus.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Positive attitude, customer service orientation, and ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with coworkers to deliver excellent service.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage orders and customer payments.
- Flexibility in terms of work schedule, including availability to work on weekends and holidays based on the restaurant's needs.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage offerings and a willingness to learn and expand culinary knowledge.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and adapt to the demands and changes of the food industry.
- Basic computer literacy for order processing and payment handling.
